Stem Cell Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis in Ukraine

Treatment of multiple sclerosis with stem cells is an innovative method based on the ability of SCs to replace any damaged cells, fully restoring their functionality.

Consultation with the attending physician and determining treatment tactics - at this stage, a comprehensive examination of the patient is carried out, the main purpose of which is to identify the lesions and clarify their location. In the process of diagnosis, neuroimmunological examination and MRI are used. After receiving the diagnostic results, the attending physician gives a prognosis of the development of the disease and determines the subsequent treatment tactics;
Stem cell collection and preparation - at this stage, doctor under local anesthesia takes a piece of adipose tissue, from which, after appropriate procedures, completely healthy and viable SCs are released;
The introduction of stem cells - at this stage the first intravenous administration of the drug. Subsequent injections are carried out at intervals of two months. After two injections, restoration of gait, memory and sensitivity is noted;
The prognosis of development is a stable remission one year after the start of treatment.

The cost of treating sclerosis with stem cells in Ukraine

The price of treatment for multiple sclerosis with stem cells in Ukraine includes:

Laboratory and instrumental diagnostics;
The course of pre-operative treatment;
Adipose tissue or bone marrow tissue sampling;
Intravenous administration of the material;
Subsequent storage of stem cells in a cryobank (for further injection);
Accompanying the patient until the end of the course of treatment.

On average, in Ukraine the cost of treating multiple sclerosis with stem cells is six thousand dollars, which is much cheaper than in the EU or Israel and at the same time no less effective.
